Monday fasting — Sunnah for 4 weeks

Publié le min de lecture

The Prophet ﷺ was asked why he fasted on Mondays. He replied: "That is the day I was born, and the day revelation began, and the deeds of servants are presented to Allah on Monday - I like my deeds to be presented while I am fasting." (Muslim)

The Challenge: Fast on Mondays for 4 consecutive weeks. From Fajr adhan until Maghrib adhan.

Practically: Eat a light suhur (oatmeal, dates, water) before Fajr. Break your fast with dates and water at Maghrib. Avoid intense physical exertion if you are new to fasting.

Note: If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, sick, or on medication, consult a doctor and a scholar. Islam always lightens, never constrains.
